More court drama

That is SO unwanted.

Last week we found ourselves sitting on the 5th floor waiting for our follow up court appearance regarding custody.

As a huge surprise and loop in my plans our social worker called and stated that Kole's "father" called and asked for a continuance. Seriously. He states he is concerned and wants to be apart of his life. I was hysterical and so angry. We have had NO contact with this man except for 3 years ago for a court hearing regarding child support. He hasn't seen or even so much as called to ask how Koley was in the last 8 years. Now this.

I don't need it. I would be so thankful if he would fall of the face of the earth again.

I have a strange suspicion it is all about child support. My theory is that he thinks if I don't have custody that he won't have to pay. Sadly mistaken my friend, I am ordered to pay the county so it will still need to be paid.

The funny part of it all is that I asked for nothing more than insurance when I left over 8 years ago. I asked him to keep him covered and I wouldn't bother him if he left us alone. 4 years ago I went to fill a script for Koley and low and behold he had been dropped from said health insurance. You can bet your butt the next day I filed for child support. He is ordered to pay 50% of all of Koley's bills. I haven't seen a dime.

I can't wait to face him in court in September. (note sarcasm!)
