the latest on kole

We had a meeting with fccs on Tuesday. We discussed the process of finding a residential program that will best suit his needs. We signed several waivers and releases that needed to be signed in order for them to gain access to more information that will be beneficial with that decision. We were told it will probably be another 4 to 6 weeks before they could place him.

Yesterday while Sean was golfing I was getting all 4 ready for Brody's 4 month checkup and Kole was behaving like a nut. He was belligerent and defiant and just wouldn't listen. I had to restrain him several times as well as sit him in time out. Last evening at Sam's club he became angry and decided to throw a tantrum in the aisle full of tylenol and pain relievers (ironic huh?) as he is screaming that we are going to jail and that he was going to call the police we received several odd and concerned looks from onlookers. He then took a strong, violent swing at Lane. We are very fortunate that he didn't hit her. He would have most definitely knocked her over. She was obviously shaken and we just walked on and pretended to ignore him.

This morning he got up about 9 and by 10 I was completely shot! He was again displaying such behaviors. I called about scheduling respite more often than once every two weeks. I then contacted his fccs case worker and she decided that he should be placed at Rosemont Center for at least the next 10 days for deescalation and also a assessment period. They will review his case and be able to again offer us a opinion on what would be the best choice as to have him treated.

He is there now. He had no emotion as I left sobbing. He just said goodbye.

I asked him if he knew why he was there and he said it was because he was bad. I corrected him and told him that it wasn't because he was bad but because he makes poor choices.
